How do I enable e-invoicing and the QR code?

E-invoicing in the system targets Saudi Arabia through ZATCA. Enabling it makes your invoices carry the QR code the regulation requires.

Steps

  1. First set the tax number on the Tax & E-Invoicing tab — image 1 — without it the setup cannot complete.
  2. Switch on Enable e-invoicing (ZATCA — Saudi Arabia).
  3. The seller fields appear; the key one is the legal name exactly as registered with the authority.
  4. The demo mode option generates a QR code with sample data and prints a TEST badge on the document — use it to try things out before going live.
  5. Save the seller details first, then generate a one-time password (OTP) from the Fatoora portal and paste it into its field to link the system — a step required for phase-two integration.
  6. Read the E-Invoicing Guide — a separate tab on the same screen — image 2 — which explains the phases and requirements.

Notes

  • If your organisation is outside Saudi Arabia, do not enable this; leave it on None and your invoices print normally without a code.
  • Try demo mode first and check how the printed invoice looks before committing to a real activation.
  • The legal name is not necessarily the trade name; write it as it appears on the tax registration certificate or the invoice will be rejected.
  • The QR code is built from the invoice and seller data at print time, so any change to the tax number or legal name is reflected in whatever is printed afterwards.
