What does the farm management dashboard show?
This is the first page you open each morning, and where you set off to every farm screen.
What it shows
- Four numbers: total farms, active farms, pending wages and veterinary visits (30 days) — Figure 1.
- Farms by type: poultry, livestock, date palm, fruit.
- Grouped links: basics (farms, houses, workers), operations (wages, inputs, veterinary), specialised farms, and settings and reports.
A suggested daily routine
- Record yesterday’s mortality, feed and production first.
- Check the vaccination calendar and what is due today.
- Look at pending wages; letting them pile up means you do not know your real cost.
- At the end of the week open the mortality trend and farm profitability.
Notes
- The dashboard numbers are only honest if daily recording is kept up; farming is one of the sectors that depends most on that discipline.
- Train the house supervisor to enter their own numbers; a sheet keyed in at the end of the week loses half its content.
- Alerts are useless unless someone is responsible for reading them every morning.
