What is the difference between the receipt, the invoice and the barcode label?

A laundry prints three different things, and each has a purpose the others cannot serve.

The invoice

From the order page press Print invoiceFigure 1. It is an A4 sheet with the laundry and customer details, the lines and the total; it suits companies, hotels and anyone who needs a formal document.

The receipt

Press Print receiptFigure 2. This is the small thermal-printer size, handed to the customer at drop-off and brought back at collection.

The barcode label

Press Print Barcode LabelFigure 3. This is the barcode for the whole order, stuck on the bag or the hanger so the order opens with a single scan. Piece tags, by contrast, are one per piece.

Notes

  • The receipt prints automatically when you save an order from the POS screen.
  • Set your company details and logo once in General Settings and they appear on every printout.
  • Never hand pieces over without a receipt or a barcode scan; that is where laundry disputes come from.
