What does the laundry dashboard show and what is the daily routine?

This is the first screen you open each morning, and the place you set off from to everything else.

What it shows

• Orders today and total revenue — Figure 1.
• Recent orders with their statuses and amounts, with print-invoice and view buttons right there.
• Quick links to POS, New Order, Services and Reports.
• Links to expense bills, expense vouchers and the stock ledger — where you record detergent, rent and electricity.

A suggested daily routine

1. Open the shift on the POS screen and enter the drawer cash.
2. Filter orders by Ready and call those customers.
3. Review orders past their expected delivery date that have not been handed over.
4. At the end of the day close the shift and count the drawer.

Notes

• The dashboard numbers are only honest if orders and payments are entered as they happen, not in one batch at closing time.
• Laundry expenses are recorded into accounting through these links; without them you see revenue with no cost and mistake it for profit.
• Make opening this page the first thing you do in the morning and the last thing you do at night.
