How do I create the office departments and assign the team to them?

An engineering project passes through more than one team: planning, then design, then execution, then handover. Departments are what make that path visible.

Steps

1. Open Engineering → Departments — Figure 1.
2. You will find four ready-made departments: Planning, Design, Execution and Handover.
3. Add a new department with a name in both languages, a colour, an icon and a sort order.
4. Click a department and press Add Member to assign staff to it.
5. Mark the default department; it is where every new project starts.

Notes

• The engineering dashboard shows the project and member count per department; a crowded department beside an empty one is a signal worth looking at.
• Do not delete a department that still has projects; disable it and the record stays intact.
• Departments decide who sees a project and who receives it at the next stage, so do not treat them as decoration.
