Closing the deal: transfers, partners and salesperson commissions
After delivery, three things remain to close the file: transferring ownership officially, splitting the profit with partners, and calculating the commission of whoever made the sale.
Ownership transfer

Transferring ownership is a government procedure that takes time, so it is tracked as its own path with stages: requested → in progress → completed. A transfer has two directions:
- Inbound: from the seller to you at purchase.
- Outbound: from you to the buyer at sale.
If the vehicle is financed and pledged to a finance company, that lienholder is recorded, so releasing the lien before transfer is never forgotten.
The practical benefit: you know at any moment how many vehicles have been delivered but not yet transferred — an outstanding legal exposure worth watching.
Partners and profit settlement

When you share the funding of a vehicle with someone, the partner is recorded against that vehicle with their share percentage. After the sale the system produces a settlement preview: the vehicle's net profit, then each partner's share of it.
The settlement payment is recorded with its date and method, leaving a clear record of who has been paid and who has not. That prevents the most common dispute in partnerships: disagreement over what was actually received.
Salesperson commissions

Every sales deal is assigned to a salesperson, and the system calculates their commission according to your setup: a percentage of the sale price, a percentage of the profit, or a fixed amount per vehicle.
Calculating commission on profit is better than on sale price, because the salesperson then gains nothing from granting a large discount to close quickly — their interest aligns with the showroom's.
Commissions are shown grouped per salesperson, ready to approve and pay with payroll.
