Experience says websites are not delayed by design or development, but because the owner has not prepared the content. The structure is built in hours, then sits for a month waiting on an "About us" text and photographs of the work. The checklist below saves you that month.
1. Business identity
- Your logo in a clear, high-resolution format (PNG with a transparent background is best).
- The official company name exactly as you want it shown, in both Arabic and English.
- One sentence describing what you do — it will appear at the top of the homepage and in search results.
2. The "About us" text
Two paragraphs is enough: when you started, what you do, and for whom. Avoid generalities and write facts — year founded, team size, scope of work, and what genuinely distinguishes your approach.
3. The service list
For each service: its name, and three to five lines explaining what it covers and who it suits. This is the most important item on the whole list, because service pages are what bring visitors in from search engines.
4. Work or projects
Six to eight real pieces of work, each with at least one photograph, a name or description, the year it was delivered, and two lines on what you did. Where a client prefers confidentiality, show the project by type without naming them.
5. The team
Names, job titles and headshots against a consistent background where possible. This section is optional for small businesses but carries real weight for professional practices.
6. Contact details
- Phone number, WhatsApp number (if different) and an official email address.
- Your address and a map link.
- Working hours and social media accounts.
- The areas or cities you serve.
7. Customer testimonials
Three genuine testimonials with the customer's name and organisation. Ask satisfied clients — most agree when asked.
One last piece of advice: don't wait for perfect
Launch with good content and complete it gradually. A published site at eighty per cent brings customers today; a complete site that has not been published brings nothing.
Frequently asked questions
What if I have no photographs of my work?
Start with images of your premises, your team and your equipment, and add work photographs as each new project completes. Do not use stock images as a substitute.
Do I need to write everything in both Arabic and English?
Start with your customers' main language and add the second later. Pages are generated in both, so translating content is a step you can postpone without delaying launch.
How long does gathering this content take?
One focused working day covers most businesses if the photographs exist. The hardest item is usually the service descriptions, so start there.
